Ultra compact embedded system for AIoT

Thursday, April 8, 2021

Contradata presents the IDS-310AI by iEi Integration, a new ultra-compact embedded system, targeting artificial intelligence applications. IDS-310AI integrates two Intel Myriad X MA2485 VPUs (Vision Processing Units) on board, suitable for performing vision and inference tasks in AI applications. The system supports Intel OpenVINO, a free software toolkit for developing deep learning applications that includes a set of freely usable "pre-trained models".

IDS-310AI

IDS-310AI is based on the Apollo Lake Intel Celeron J3455 processor with a clock of up to 2.30 GHz, 2MB cache and 10 Watts TDP. It supports 8GB of DDR3L memory and comes with a 128GB SATADOM SSD. It supports 3 independent HDMI displays and offers a rich onboard I/O set which includes: 1x RS-232/422/485, 2x Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 3x USB 3.2, audio line-out and mic-in. There is also an externally accessible micro-SD card slot and an M.2 2230 socket for various types of expansions including the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi module offered as an option.

IDS-310AI is an extremely compact (137 x 102.8 x 49.2 mm) and lightweight (910g) embedded PC that supports operating temperatures from -20 ° to + 45 ° C. Thanks to a system TDP that does not exceed 35 Watts, IDS-310AI represents an optimal system for low-power industrial artificial intelligence applications.
